Exhibition Digitization

In 2018, I worked on a number of digitization initiatives at both the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City, and the Center For The Study of Slavery and Justice (CSSJ) at Brown University in Providence, RI. These initiatives were focused on building an accessible and education online presence for in-house exhibitions.

At the CSSJ, I digitized two exhibitions: The Black Shackle: African Americans and the Coal Economy and Makers Unknown: Material Objects and the Enslaved. I executed the planning and design of these digitized exhibitions. I conceptualized the layout of these interactive sites, edited the exhibition text and chose what objects to feature online (pictured above).

In my tenure at The Whitney Museum of American Art, I assisted with digital content production for three exhibitions: Mary Corse: A Survey In Light, Pacha, Llaqta, Wasichay: Indigenous Space, Modern Architecture, New Art and David Wojnarowicz: History Keeps Me Awake at Night. For these exhibitions, I uploaded images, accompanying exhibition text and audio for the museum’s website and multimedia guide (pictured below).
